Talking with Your Legislator:
- Tell your story! Share the current reality for you, your colleagues, and your students.
- Tell your legislator:
- Educators are deeply committed to the success of every child. We put students first.
- Invest in public education for the future of our students and a healthy economy.
- Provide community colleges the money that was promised to them.
- Save a seat at the table for educators working on the front lines in order to better inform education reform/policy decisions.
- Leave your contact info so they can call you.
- Schedule a coffee/meeting back in your district/college after the February session.
- Invite your legislator to visit your classroom, building, or worksite.

- OEA members: Join OEA-PIE to continue the conversation and help hold elected officials accountable.
- Share your experience today with your colleagues at your next building or staff meeting.
- Write a letter to the editor of your local paper about why you participated in the Day of Action.
- Include a short write-up about the Day of Action in a letter to parents or your local association newsletter.
